About

Cheryl Nowak is a Licensed Professional Counselor that completed her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Northwestern University and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Elmhurst College. She is Trauma Certified, DBT Certified, and has years of experience working with children on the spectrum.

She enjoys working with a wide variety of clients but hopes to specialize in women's and children's mental health issues in the future. She connects deeply with mother's struggling through the journey of motherhood and works to be an ally as her clients find their way. As a therapist, she provides a non-judgmental, safe space for people to experience all the thoughts and emotions that life creates for them. She believes finding a counselor who understands you and actively listens to you is key to success in therapy.

Chery is a culturally sensitive, LGBTQ-friendly clinician. Her style is direct, empathetic, and supportive of each person. She believes it is essential that each client be informed and involved in the therapeutic process. Therapy is a collaborative process, and she looks forward to working with her clients on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves!
