Margaret is a licensed professional counselor who received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Governors State University. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in group therapy as well as with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Margaret is oriented towards a Humanistic perspective where she believes in the power of healthy relationships and the importance of feeling valued and having a sense of connectedness with others. She utilizes evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy while emphasizing the importance of recognizing and understanding problematic patterns of thinking and behaving that often serve to feed anxiety and depression.
Margaret has a curious, openminded and non-judgmental approach in her work with clients. She promotes and encourages self-discovery, self-acceptance and self-compassion while providing a safe and trusting environment for clients to grow and move forward at their own pace.
