Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor. Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia University Chicago and received her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology. She is dedicated to working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. She works with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and substance abuse. She also enjoys working with individuals that are struggling with chronic pain and health issues and helping them learn to navigate the everyday challenges that are a result of health issues. 

Mary believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship. A strong relationship between therapist and client is essential to the progress a client makes. She approaches each session with an open and welcoming environment to ensure her clients feel comfortable to share. Mary focuses on her client’s strengths and adapts her modalities and interventions according to their needs. Modalities that she frequently utilizes include client-centered therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Mary is experienced in working with a wide range of clients in multiple settings, including private practice, outpatient addiction treatment center, and a college counseling center.
