About

Chris Meersman is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. Chris deeply values his previous experience working with people suffering from severe and acute mental health challenges in an intensive treatment setting. His experience working with vulnerable people gives him insight and empathy when working with many populations, including women, children, and couples. Chris is passionate about many of the issues facing teens, such as bullying, anxiety, and depression related to social media, peer pressure, and loneliness.

Chris takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. His work is informed by evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strength-based interventions, all tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual.

Chris supports clients working through a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, divorce, job-related stress, grief, life transitions, performance anxiety, and relationship challenges. He is committed to helping clients develop insight, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
