About
Erin Gonzalez is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She works with adolescents ages 15 and older, young adults, and adults, and believes therapy is most effective when it responds to each person’s unique needs, strengths, and life experiences.
Erin has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, identity development, relationship concerns, and difficulties with boundaries and assertiveness. She also has experience working with intergenerational trauma and is passionate about supporting clients as they explore identity, including individuals from LGBTQ+ communities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
Erin’s approach to therapy is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in both honesty and compassion. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she adapts her work to meet clients where they are and creates an environment where clients feel comfortable enough to lower their guard, speak openly, and explore what is really going on. She believes clients grow through autonomy and collaboration and strives to help individuals recognize patterns, develop greater self-awareness, challenge themselves, and build confidence in their ability to navigate their lives and relationships.
Erin recognizes the courage and vulnerability that can come with entering therapy and considers it a privilege to be trusted with each client’s story. At the core of her work is the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for meaningful change. She aims to balance directness with empathy so clients can feel genuinely supported while also being encouraged to grow.
