About

Meri Nushi is currently obtaining her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University, and previously earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Neuroscience and Psychology from North Central College. Meri has several years of experience working in clinics, schools, and residential settings with children and preteens with autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, and other mental health disorders.

Meri is passionate about the connection between the mind and the body, and about the neuroscience behind trauma and its effects on holistic wellbeing. She strives to provide neuro-affirming treatment by taking a trauma-informed approach and providing a welcoming and nonjudgmental therapeutic space.

Meri incorporates evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with mindfulness and positive psychology, to support and guide clients' treatment, progress, and goal achievement. She is dedicated to helping clients by providing a safe space for collaboration, navigating transitions, managing difficult situations, and intense emotions, and providing individualized care tailored to the client's needs.
