About
Nora is currently obtaining a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University, and previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Previously, Nora has worked in clinics, schools, and residential settings as an aide for children, teens, and young adults with autism and a range of mental health disorders. She is passionate about providing comprehensive mental health care to communities in need and looks forward to broadening her scope of practice in her very own community.
Through her previous experiences working in mental health, Nora has developed insight into the hardships of trauma, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Nora practices from a person-centered perspective and believes that, given the right tools and an accepting environment, anyone can overcome the obstacles in their life, no matter how challenging. Everyone’s story is unique and holds important pieces that, when put together, help us become a more empowered self.
Seeking help can feel vulnerable and overwhelming, but it is one of the most important steps in changing your life for the better. Through therapy, clients have the transformative power of opening themselves up to new ways of viewing the world and themselves. Nora looks forward to accompanying you on this journey. Let’s work to rewrite your story together!
